Nukleopatra
Born in the last gasps of the twentieth century, Nukleopatra grew up in south London before moving to Colchester for secondary school. Previously interested in a career in performing arts but directionless after leaving education, they were inspired to begin making visual art while working at a local gallery. Nukleopatra’s practice is inspired by an interest in language, using their art as a way to communicate their thoughts and feelings about contemporary issues.

Ian McDonald
I have had an interest in photography since I was young. I even tried developing my own prints in my early teens. About seven years ago, I joined Chelmsford Camera Club and, very soon, photography became an important part of my life. My favourite subjects to photograph are nature, sport, travel and, after a recent trip to Namibia, landscapes.

Hello, my name is Emma Emerson and I am the owner of Keepsakes and Portraits. I am a realism artist, specialising in pet, wildlife and human portraiture. I create drawings using coloured pencils, soft pastels and graphite pencils.
I created my business because of my passion for drawing and the natural world. I get so much satisfaction every time I create a drawing and I wanted to create a business where I can share my passion to the world and capture memories for people that will remain as keepsakes forever.

Nesta James
I am a member and Secretary of Colchester Photographic Society.
Having taken up Photography ten years ago as a complete beginner my aim was to become competent in a range of genres. So far this includes Portrait, Street, Botanical, Creative, Landscape and Architecture.
I have been especially interested in the technique of creating personalised Textures and Brushes in Photoshop to enhance an image.

Peter Porteous-Butler
Peter Porteous-Butler has spent his life creating art in various forms. In 2018 Peter reconnected with creating art by hand to re-connect with the physical. He set himself a brief to create beautiful works that existed in the world, rather than digitally.
Peter finds real fulfilment and joy in the uniqueness of each piece, and the ink splatters and smudges or blobs of oil Paint add genuine randomness that, he says, is difficult and time-consuming for a computer to replicate authentically, and adds a real sense of human expression.

Tori Andrews
